I live in Sweden but work and travel frequently in the Bay Area so I decided to try to get my wedding/engagement rings made in the US since the prices are generally better and experience with working with platinum is more common. After a few searches on Google and Yelp, I discovered Goldfield's Jewelers and decided to give it a try. I have to say that the experience has been absolutely fantastic. Steve is, like others have already said here, extremely friendly, cooperative, patient and truly skilled. After a few phone calls and emails from Sweden where I had sent him all the details I could find about the type of rings I wanted him to make, I finally got to pay him a visit in Sunnyvale and close the deal. The rings are absolutely fantastic and the price was very reasonable. But above all, the personal touch and service by Steve has just been great. He won't give up until you're absolutely satisfied -- always with a big smile on his face. The first thing I noticed when walking into Goldfield's was the unique quality that each of the pieces possessed. Everything Steve had to offer was not only original but beautifully crafted and intriguing. Aside from the stunning selection, I must mention the wonderful customer service that both Steve and his lovely wife treated me and the multiple other guest with. They were patient and helpful through the whole process and even kept the store open late for me on two separate occasions. They turned a somewhat stressful venture (finding the perfect ring for my fiance) into an enjoyable and memorable occasion. When I finally selected the ring i wanted Steve not only re-sized the ring but engraved it for me as well in just a few short days. I will gladly come back to his store for any of my other future jewelry needs. |

I have asked Steve to make custom made diamond earrings for me. He has been more than fair, honest, and very good at listening to my wishes. Before coming to Goldfield's Jewelers, I went to a few jewelers and they wanted to pinch every penny possible out of me, and told me that it is not worth it for them to work on my order, unless they will add interest to everything (work, diamond and materials)-- the total would come to an outrageous price. I'm very glad I found Steve after that. When my earrings were ready, I wanted to make a few adjustments and changes, Steve patiently kept working on my order (for no extra charge) until it was just as I wanted it. Steve has great skills in his field, but what's equally important he listens to his clients. He is fair, is concerned with his clients needs (rather than making money on them). A true professional and a really nice man. Will continue to be his customer. |

The Macy's over here doesn't sell watch bands, so they referred me to this Jeweler. Sure, I had to wait a few minutes until he could help me. I could see he was being very attentive to the customer he was helping, so I didn't care in the slightest. Steve is an awesome guy. He had a very nice leather watch band for me, and installed it immediately. I could tell he was very skilled. He is very friendly, and it's extremely apparent that he cares about his customers. |

Where should I begin! Steve is just hands down awesome... You come in needing something he is upfront and always gives the truthful answer. I send my rings to him and they look brand new! He cleans them and last time soldered them together for me. His prices are more then fair and he knows ALOT about being a jeweler. I am definitely a loyal customer now and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!! |

My husband and I had our wedding rings designed by Steve. Steve is amazing, and we can't say enough good things about him (and his helpful wife.) Steve is honest, knowledgeable, and patient. It's great to find a creative jeweler that you can really trust. We're sailors and we wanted "sailing knot" rings--something meaningful to us. We had sailed over 10,000 miles together and we were tying the knot, right? I also wanted to use my grandmother's diamond, which Steve was perfectly happy to do. Steve designed "plastic" and "silver" rings for us before he made the actual rings, to make sure we liked the design. Since we're wearing these rings everyday for the rest of our lives, I wanted it to be something unique and perfect! I also had Steve put a new stone (which I bought from him) in the setting of my grandmother's ring. I also loved the "square bottom" Steve can make on rings (so the ring doesn't slide around on your finger.) |

Steve is a master craftsman. I took him a sketch of what I wanted for my wedding band, we talked and he laid out stones from his collection and we discussed my vision. He made a wax mold of what he'd make, put in all the stones and I went for another consultation where I requested some changes that he made on the spot. I went back to see the casting he made and then he set the stones and polished it. It's gorgeous and fits perfectly with my e-ring. Best of all, he was able to work with my budget. We also bought my husband's band from him and paid only about 10% more than we would have paid online. |
